Myles Neff
is a third generation thoroughbred horse trainer who started galloping at the age of eight and was a professional jockey by the age of fifteen. He successfully rode from 1960 – 1972, mainly throughout the northeast and was known for his unique aerodynamic style of riding originally seen in the 1930’s. In the winter of 1971 – 1972, Myles was commissioned to help educate and prepare Secretariat, considered one of the greatest racehorses of all time, riding him everyday for over five months. In 1980, he moved his home base to
Ocala, Florida and opened The Renasance Training Center, breeding, raising and training racehorses. Myles still trains and gallops his own horses today. He also teaches jockeys his unique riding style and is the only person ever to be certified by the prestigious American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA) to teach flat race riding in all of North America. He is currently writing a book, “The Fine Art of Race Riding”.
